Maybe Self is satying away from the cheaters that are running the show in college basketball (ex. Calamary).

I don't understand the criticism. Look at the offer lists of the two guys they've signed so far.

Ellis: 5-star, offers from Duke, Kansas St., Kentucky, Memphis, Oklahoma, Wichita St.
Peters: 3-star, but offers from Baylor, Kentucky, Mizzou, UNC, Oklahoma, Texas

If he's going to criticize him for something, make it for not getting a backcourt recruit. That is mentioned in the article, but the overwhelming point is to make it seem as though Self is signing DII-type talents to a major powerhouse.

Yeah the article doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
