Demetris Robertson is one of the most highly-coveted uncommitted prospects in the 2016 class. We are less than a week away from National Signing Day and Robertson, a five-star wide receiver from Savannah, Ga., has yet to choose between Notre Dame, Georgia, Alabama and Stanford, among many, many others.

First-year Georgia coach Kirby Smart is hoping to keep the in-state Bulldogs in the running and made a visit to Robertson earlier this week, but on Thursday, the Notre Dame staff showed up with 18 wheels of Fighting Irish recruiting intensity.

The Notre Dame equipment truck pulled up outside Robertson's house before school. According to the Twitter account of offensive coordinator Mike Sanford, it also made a visit to the Waffle House. Has college football recruiting jumped the shark? Who cares. If so, Notre Dame is at least doing it in style.

Go Gophers!!

What will they think of next? Arrive in a helicopter? [emoji15]

What's funny is the story asks if college recruiting has jumped the shark with all the antics teams are pulling. The scary part is I don't think we are anywhere close to that point. Everytime a school pulls something like this it just motivates all the others to do something similar or to try and top it. All in the interest of wooing some 18 year old kid that might not even come anywhere close to living up to the hype.
