per CBS:

The largest point spread is in the Hawaii-Michigan game, as the Wolverines are 41-point favorites over a road-weary Hawaii team that will have only eight days between playing in Australia and making the trip to Ann Arbor. Louisville (-37 against Charlotte) and Florida (-36 against UMass) are the other two biggest favorites of the first week.

Here are all 40 lines available for the first week:

Oregon State Minnesota Minnesota -9

Go Gophers!!

I'll take the Rainbows and 41 all day long...

Michigan lines are inflated each and every week because the betting public will still bet the hell out of them.

Kind of surprised at Minnesota -9. I think the Gophs should win this game but am expecting Oregon State to be much improved from the horrific team they were last season.

I will have a Beaver update ( no pun intended) in a week or so.

I'll take a 9 point win.

I'm still nervous to see how they get out of the gate. We've had some not so good gate getting out of.

Unless their new QB is a difference maker I'll take that bet all day. The OSU run defense was abysmal (as was their pass defense) their top tackler (ILB Rommel Mageo) transferred to University of Mississippi, they lost an NFL draftee offensive lineman. The do have a lot of returning starters in the secondary and they have two starting offensive linemen returning from injury. They have a new DC.

With our defense at full strength and our offense looking to run on a soft defense, I'll be disappointed with less than a 10-14 point win (but I'll take it). Maybe bluster vs a P5 opponent as OSU will surely improve vs 2-10, but with our returning personnel and an OC that looks more willing to open up the field for his men, I am confident our run game will be special this season. Game is at home, Mitch will be comfortable. It's going to be phenomenal.

With all due respect, I'll wait until ruppy gives his "scouting" report before I decide on this game.

If he gets in the coach's ear and convinces them to play Perry Como's "Hot Diggity" as their stadium intro because he heard it at a wedding and all the kids were dancing to it...It might be all over for the Gophers.
