CBS: Midnight Madness just isn't what it used to be

I would agree that these things have run their course, especially with the earlier & earlier start to the regular season. Remember not too long ago when the season pretty much started right around Thanksgiving? The Midnight Madness-type events have become rather silly. Can't gather up much interest in going to watch uncontested dunks and 3-pointers. No thanks, I'll wait for the games.
 

The Gophers used to hold an open scrimmage about two weeks after Midnight madness. That event was much more enjoyable because it was just basketball. I don't think Tubby has the open scrimmage.

This is exactly what I would like to see. A full fledged game conditions scrimmage.
 

Horrible music over a horrible sound system. But i'll be there.
