Minnesota -- Tracy Claeys: With so many schools just promoting interim coaches, this is the only one that actually made sense. You have to remember, Minnesota didn't fire Jerry Kill; he stepped down because of his health. This wasn't a situation anybody wanted to be in. Claeys, meanwhile, has already served as head coach at Minnesota while Kill missed games to deal with his health in previous seasons and has been a member of Kill's staff forever. By keeping Claeys on board, you're doing what you can to ensure that the recent success the team has experienced continues going forward.
