It sure seems like the Rams we'll be playing next year will be different that the good squad they had this year.

Per CBS:

If Mike Bobo is going to run the dang ball at Colorado State, he'll be doing so without Dee Hart.

The Colorado State running back told the Reporter-Herald that he'll be skipping his final year of eligibility and entering this spring's NFL Draft.

"I'm going to declare for the draft," Hart told the paper. "It was just a dream I always had growing up, and it's an opportunity I have this season, so I want to take advantage of it."

Go Gophers!!

3,700 yard QB, head coach and now 1,200 yard rusher all leaving. I don't know if they even have business keeping this competitive despite their 10 wins.

Good news for Minnesota..Too bad Rashard Higgins is only a Soph cause i bet he would be gone to the NFL too if he could

This is good news...we are going to need this toss-up game if we expect to have a repeat of our last two historically successful seasons.

This is not a toss up game IMO. We should physically pound them, up front.

This is going to be the opposite of the TCU game. Lots of people (including me) thought they were unimpressive before we played them because of their 2-7 Big 12 record last year, then they came out and were one of the top 5 teams in the country. Whatever their record was last year, I think this is going to be considered a cupcake win for us by the time we see how bad they are through all of next year.

I'd like to see the passing game get some work in the non-conference. Make a statement that teams will be punished if they sell out against the run.

Timing is everything. It's a good thing we didn't play them this past season. I think this will be like the last time we played SJSU who had a new coach and QB who were not clicking early in the season. We should handle them with ease even though it is a road game.

Don't bother with gopherdowner. He's a ****head troll that doesn't know his ass from his mouth.

the number 2 and 3 running backs are very good as well. csu traditionally has a very good offensive line sending a guard to the nfl last year and likely a tackle this year. so, like the gophers, expect the next man up at running back for the rams. and even though grayson will be in the nfl next year, stevens is supposed to be very good. i am not sure what kind of offense that bobo is going to be running, but stevens is the prototypical qb for the west coast offense that mcelwain was running here. the rams have quite a few explosive receivers including freshman xavier williams and pretty decent tight end (though not as good as past csu tight ends).

the weak spot for the rams has always been the defense. bobo hired rising star tyson summers from ucf, so we'll see what he can do over the off-season.

i don't think that the gophers will lose, but we all know that the last two years the gophers have played poorly in the early pat of the schedule and playing in fort collins after a very tough game against tcu, this game will in no way be a cupcake.

This will not be a toss-up game. The Gophers will be favored by somewhere in the range of 7.5-10.5. That doesn't mean that we can't lose, but we will be comfortably favored.

I was never worried about this game. They were always going to lose the best quarterback their program has had in who knows how long. They're also losing their offensive line. We will win this game by 2 touchdowns.

Wasn't implying it is a cupcake game. No game is.
Having watched and followed both this year (and every year since Lubick era) we are more physical upfront. Bobo will run a pro-style, no huddle offense. Yes, wideouts are excellent and Stevens is good as well. I think if we had played them this year we'd have beat them as well.

Also, they had an impressive record, but they didn't have to beat anyone better than Boston College to get it. This game is going to fall in the category of ones we could lose if we overlook them or play like crap, but absolutely should win if our heads and hearts are in it.

If this is a "toss-up" game them there will be no repeat

i agree. i think that the gophers should "pound them up front". i don't think i was responding to you, but who knows.
