Minnesota's top NFL Draft-Eligible prospects to watch in 2015:

Eric Murray, CB, Senior (5-11, 196, 4.51)
Which college football program has the best cornerback duo in the country? Several cases can be made, but the Gophers belong in the discussion with the talented corner tandem of Eric Murray and Briean Boddy-Calhoun. Murray, who lines up as the boundary corner, doesn't stand out in one particular category, but he is very well-rounded with good size, speed and physicality for the position. He plays with confidence and is well-versed in press, off and zone coverages, showing off his versatility as a reliable run defender and blitzer. With only one career interception, Murray doesn't receive much attention on a national level, but he has 18 passes defended over his 26 starts the past two seasons and is lauded by Minnesota coaches for his work ethic and competitive drive on and off the field, also excelling on special teams.

Briean Boddy-Calhoun, CB, Redshirt Senior (5-10, 189, 4.52)
A JUCO transfer, Boddy-Calhoun was a back-up in 2012 and missed almost all of the 2013 season due to a season-ending knee injury. But he emerged last season as one of the Big Ten's top playmakers in the secondary with a team-best five interceptions and 14 passes defended as a junior field corner, adding 51 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. Boddy-Calhoun, who was voted a co-captain for the 2015 season, is the out-spoken and energetic voice of the Minnesota defense and is among the best in conference with his range and fluidity for the position. He does a nice job in his transition with quick feet and smooth hips to play sticky coverage on the outside, but his reliability as a tackler needs improvement with his lack of size and muscle showing up often in run support. Although he's not as well-known as Murray, Boddy-Calhoun is well-liked among scouts and might end up being the higher draft pick.

De'Vondre Campbell, OLB, Redshirt Senior (6-4, 241, 4.73)
With Damien Wilson and Cedric Thompson now in the NFL, Campbell is the team's top returning tackler from a year ago, finishing the 2014 season with 75 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and one interception. He arrived in Minneapolis in 2013 after two seasons at a community college, becoming a starter last year as a junior. Campbell looks the part in pads with near defensive end size, but he is a coordinated athlete on his feet, playing comfortable in space. He has smooth body control and flexible ankles with the read/react instincts to break quickly on the ball, but he tends to overrun his angles. Although he has room to become a better finisher at the tackle point, Campbell never lets up with consistent hustle through the whistle each snap.
