Minnesota guards Marcus Carr and Gabe Kalscheur were recognized by the Big Ten today. Carr was named All-Big Ten Second Team (media) and All-Big Ten Third Team (coaches), while Kalscheur was Minnesota's Sportsmanship Award honoree. Separately, Carr was named AP All-Big Ten First Team.

Congrats to both guys, always good when Gophers get recognized for post season awards.

Bummer that Gabe broke his hand because as others have already mentioned he probably had a good shot of winning a defensive award but the injury forced him to miss too many games.
