Our really difficult schedule is looking more and more difficult by the minute.
First Syracuse proves to be quite a matchup, then Air Force opens with a perfect football game, now Cal is completely owning a very respectable Maryland squad.
Yikes.
Entering big10 play at 2-1 seems pretty good right about now. 3-0 will take some serious work/luck.
we will rape cal...mark my words
Maybe Brewster should've stuck to the cupcake formula and tried to get better at Big 10 play first before scheduling harder non-conference opponents.......QUOTE]
I believe this is simply the return game from when we played at CAL in '05 or '06, right? I don't believe Brewster was involved in getting this game scheduled.
Cal fan here. Just wanted to say hello, and good luck in two weeks. Caught a bit of your guys' game against Syracuse on TV the other day. Being a homer, I do think Cal should win, but anything can happen in two weeks. Plus, historically, we perform worse on the road (as I suspect most teams do). Last year, talent-wise, we were arguably a more talented team than MD but we were absolutely pasted on their home turf... that final score was much closer than the actual game indicated. So... bottom line is that anything can happen. Here's hoping to a fun, clean game in two weeks!
Let me repeat what I've been saying for a year:
Is it too late to replace Cal with a 1-AA team? Why are we playing them? Are we insane? We knew the B10 schedule would be brutal.
This isn't cowardice. This is being rational. We're too thin and too shallow to play this many games against top opponents.
Well, just so long as no one is dumb enough to record it on their cell phone.we will rape cal...mark my words
