CAA sticks with decision to keep ODU and Georgia State out of conference tournament

Essentially it means both will be independents in 2012-13, with no automatic path to the NCAA Tournament.

Both schools are leaving for new conferences in 2013-14, ODU for Conference USA, Georgia State for the Sun Belt. Will they now try to expedite the move to their new conferences like VCU did?

Follow up (Ga State and ODU coaches none too happy)

Sorry, I can't build up much sympathy for a school jumping from one conference to another. Another example of, "the rules apply until they affect me." The schools knew conference bylaws when they made their decision to join another conference. If they didn't like it, they at least should have tried (if they haven't already) to do what VCU did, pay the departure penalty fee and get on with it.
