This team is like the stock market. When things are darkest, you know dawn's around the corner. For whatever reason, they've managed to defy my expectations every step of the way. So I want to be on record. I'm predicting that they lose to the Illini and in the first round of the tourney. Which I hope will absolutely ensure that they make a mini BTT run, and then turn it on in the tourney, like last year's NIT run.

easy to grin

"It's easy to grin, when you ship comes in, and you've got the stock market beat. But the man worthwhile, is the man who can smile, when his shorts are too tight in the seat!"

Maybe the Gophers will lose to Illinois and their stock will be down really low, and some smart Gopher fans can make a bundle betting on some favorable odds when their stock turns upward again?!

They were 60 to 1 odds to win the NCAA tourney a week ago. Could a loss to Illinois get those odds down to 100 to 1?!

All things considered, Tubby's teams have (for the most part) played the best during the post season. Hopefully that holds true this year.

Throughout his career, Tubby has been generally successful in the post season. He never lost a first round game at Kentucky. It's not an anomaly that he's had some post season success at Minnesota. I just hope it can continue this year!

I am great at buying low with our Gopher teams... I just always forget to sell when they're high.
