on BTN at 7PM tonight. A chance to get a look at our 1st game competition for the 76 classic.

It will also give us all a chance to see how Northwestern is adapting to life without Kevin Coble and Jeff Ryan. Heard recently that Jeremy Nash is also having heart problems, which if true, is another serious blow. As it stands, it will be interesting to see how much they rely on Michael Thompson, John Shurna and (assuming he's healthy), Nash.

As for Butler, I know they're coming off a tough game with Davidson in their opener. Should be an interesting game.

Butler by six, 30 - 24 at the half .. They don't look like a top 10 team, but most teams look ugly at NW....

Since when is Michael Thompson known as Juice Thompson??? Did anyone else ever hear him called that last year???

Also, Butler's Gordon Hayward is very fundamentally sound. Good passer, shooter, rebounder, etc....I remember him as a freshman last year. I loved the way he pulled up in the lane and hit a couple mid range jumpers instead of trying to take it to the rim and picking up a charge, rare to see in today's game.

Butler is running off with the game. Northwestern can't put the ball in the bucket. 50 -33 Butler with 10:50 to go in the game.

Butler is ahead by 17 without a dominating inside game that they are expected to have. NW's defense usually takes away that inside game but Butler adjusted with a half-court, outside game. Our aggressive defense and running game will be a whole different game. Can wait to see that game next week.

No kidding. I don't EVER remember anyone referring to him as Juice. It's like the announcer just made it up himself. And then he said it about 300 times during the game. After awhile I thought he was doing it just to torture me. I don't remember the color guy calling him Juice at all. He called him Mychal.

Hayward is very, very good. Damian is going to have a tough matchup.

Uhh, I remember him being called Juice since his freshman year.

Even without Coble, NU will give a lot of teams fits this year, especially at home.

They called him Juice against us last year. They told the story about how he got it but I forgot what it was.
