F*ck the Bucks!

This winter weather is exactly what we needed for Saturday's game.

Hopefully the heating coils are not working next Saturday. No sense making the surface any faster.

I wonder if there is any rules against us not turning them on. I know the NFL wouldn't allow it.

I imagine they have to leave them on and can't just flip them on and off whenever they want once it gets cold though.

I don't think the heating coils will make the surface any faster. If there's snow it could have the opposite effect. The cold will affect the ball, so passing and kicking are going to be more difficult, players will lose speed and strength with less blood pumping to their arms and legs. Last night was probably the coldest temps many of the Ohio St players have ever played in. It didn't seem to affect them all that much, but the forecast in Minneapolis could be 20 degrees at game time, which is 20 degrees less than the temp at game time last night. Ohio St probably won't score more than 40 points but we could possible note score 20. I have no idea what the outcome will be, but Ohio St is not invincible this year. They had trouble against Penn St and lost to a not so good VT team at home. They plastered MSU though. Maybe some combination of the weather, overlooking us and the gophs being well-rested and confident will swing the game our way. Last time Ohio St played a game in November in Minneapolis outdoors it ended up a 35-31 loss for the Buckeyes.

Let's not forget that Ohio St players are in general bigger and stronger than ours. Which means they have to pump blood further to their extremities. Heheh...

40°. Where do you think Ohio is?

The average temp in Columbus in November is 53 in Minneapolis 40. That's statistically significantly. It was mid 30s for there game against Indiana last year and that's the coldest it's been for them for a while. We're latitude 45 degrees they're 39. Columbus is literally 500+ miles south of Minneapolis. Mock me all you want, but if the forecast holds or it ends up being colder the buckeye's superior athletes will not be enjoying Saturday all that much. In November games out of doors in Minneapolis Ohio St is 1-3 and in games where temps were below 40, 1-4. Also, many points of the Mason Dixon line were north of Columbus. Be a smug prick all you want.

Going back to 2010, the coldest game-time temp they've played in at OSU is 33 degrees.

11/23/13 vs. Indiana (W 42-14)
11/24/12 vs. Michigan (W 26-21)

Going farther back...

28 degrees: 11/22/08 vs. Michigan (W 42-7)
29 wind chill: 11/8/03 vs. Michigan State (W 33-23)
31 wind chill: 11/23/02 vs Michigan (W 14-9)

That OSU/Indiana game, people were calling the coldest game they'd ever played in.
