Monday Review
#38 Saint John's beats Xavier -- Johnnies finishing strong (winners of 5 of last 6). Looking pretty certain Big East will have 6 entrants in the NCAA.
Tuesday on the Bubble
#41 Texas @ West Virginia, 6 (ESPN2) -- Longhorns have no bad losses, that's good, but their 1-9 record vs. RPI top 50 suggests they need a couple more top-shelf wins.
#53 LSU @ Auburn, 6 (ESPNU) -- Tigers a rock solid 10-5 vs. RPI top 100 but those 3 bad losses (RPI 101+) suggest they'd be wise not to add another one.
#52 NC State @ North Carolina, 7 -- RPI and overall number of losses (11) suggests Wolfpack in trouble, but with a #4 overall SOS and already 4 RPI top-50 wins, a win here puts them in great shape.
#33 Texas A&M @ Arkansas, 8 (ESPN) -- The numbers suggest Aggies are a bit of a "RPI tiger" (number looks good on paper, but their resume sucks). Sure, they have no bad losses, but they're also 0-5 vs. the RPI top 50.
Boston College @ #36 Pitt, 8 (ESPNU) -- Panthers already have 2 bad losses, and quite frankly with a rather pedestrian resume they can't afford a 3rd one here.
New Mexico @ #42 Boise State, 10 (ESPNU) -- Broncos' best path to the NCAA is pretty clear. Win the ones you're supposed to (like this one vs. the Lobos), and then win @ San Diego State on Saturday. Anything short of that & their resume (2-2 vs. RPI top 50, only 3 wins over RPI top 100) just won't stand up.
Gophers RPI Update

Today: 97 (1-6 vs. RPI top 50; 4-9 vs. RPI top 100; #68 overall SOS; #214 non-conference SOS)
