The Skinny: Devastating loss for Wichita State last night at previously winless (in the MVC) Evansville. With Illinois' win in Madtown last night, by all appearances the Big 10 is headed for 5 locks. That leaves Northwestern and the Gophers picking up the scraps for a potential 6th bid. (however, please remember, TEAMS get bids, not CONFERENCES). Gophers could use a NW loss tonight, then Gophs could put the nail in the coffin on the Wildcats' at-large hopes with a win Sunday in Evanston.

Wow, Evansville won? They were 0-13 in the MVC before that game. That's quite a blow for Wichita.

Yes, that could be a deal-breaker for the Shockers. They now have 4 bad losses (RPI of 101+), and really their only notable wins are Texas Tech and Northern Iowa.
