per BTN:

"Upset alert: If injuries have wracked a Penn State squad playing with just 67 scholarship players when it arrives in Minneapolis, Minnesota may have a good shot at victory. The Golden Gophers have lost the last four meetings with the Nittany Lions after winning four in succession in the series. The teams haven’t met since 2010"

Go Gophers!!

If I had a horse, a hat and some boots, I'd be a Cowboy. Upset Alert.

Go Gophers!!
I hate to play the "blame the refs" card, but the Gophers did not lose to the Nitanny Lions in 2006. They lost to the boys in black and white stripes.

Injuries could take a toll on Penn State, but we also would need to avoid injuries.

Yeah, not many times when you can say reffing directly changed the outcome of the game (since most calls, even ones with only a minute to play, still leave room for a team to take action). But the BS pass interference call on what should have been PSU's last play in their OT chance was, well, BS. Too bad, woulda been nice to finish 500 in the BT (though really, it wouldn't have mattered in the grand scheme of things).

I'm hoping by week 11 a Gopher win wouldn't be considered an upset.

Pretty sad when the heavily sanctioned team is going to be favored to beat us.

tOSU went undefeated last year, right? I think they were favored in a lot of games.

Note "heavily sanctioned"... When your recruiting pitch cannot include a bowl game, ever, that is a deal breaker to almost everyone.

When your recruiting pitch is that you won't play in a bowl game till your junior year, it's not as tough to swallow.

That would be a tremendous win. We could get that trophy back. What's it called again?

This wouldn't even be a big upset and not an upset at all in my mind, I expect this game to be a coin flip along with Wisconsin and Michigan state, however adding to afurry91 bill obrien as actually done a tremendous job recruiting considering the sanctions, they landed the number 1 QB recruit in the nation in Christian hackenburger, they also landed a 4 star top 150 QB in the 2014 class and a top 50 athlete in the 2014 class, it is clear the best QB recruits want to play for Obrien

Yeah I was at that game. An absolutely atrocious call.

True, even with the bad calls, we gave them the win by missing the kick.

I was there.

Even if he made the kick, all that would have meant is another overtime, which I'm sure with the Gophers luck, they'd have lost anyway. It's not like the missed kick was to blame for giving PSU another shot.
