BTN Tip Off Show/Damian Johnson

The tip off show tonight had a little segment about the Gophers and the emphasis placed on Defense and the Deflections stat by their coaching staff. Damian said his goal at the start of the season was to be the top defensive player in the Big Ten. Got me to thinking...he has a legitimate case of being the top Defensive player, doesn't he? And does the B10 have a first team all-defense or anything?

Yes, there is a Big Ten all defensive team. They announce it each year at the end of the season. Like March 9th or 10th before the tournament starts. Travarus Bennett was B10 defensive player of the year for us a few years back.
