BTN Q&A with Jerry Kill

Ah, the 22-7 victory over Illinois last year - my favorite game last year!

Too bad they can't get the score right, it was 27-7. I really like the fact that our defense will have some experience this year. With the exception of Cockran, every defensive starter against UNLV will have played a significant amount of B1G football in the careers. And if Cockran starts, it's from a position of strength as he would have to beat out last year's starter.

Q: What’s on your facility wish list?
A: We have a beautiful stadium. Our ultimate goal is to get us moved over to the stadium and have a practice facility and have us all in one area. We have a great set up with a great stadium and we want to continue to improve it that way and build around it over in one place. That’s what we are working for as we speak.

Where is there room to build a practice facility near the stadium? How could it be done without taking over parking space?

It can't. They would take over parking space.

The new medical buildings have already taken over lots, and the light-rail will as well in the near future. They must be planning on taking out the grain mills by Ski-U-Mah? Just a wild guess

The U's long term plan for the area was to replace almost all the lots with research buildings. The lost parking would be replaced with new ramps. It's called the East Gateway District plan. Not totally sure how accurate the plans are anymore, but as of 3 years ago that was the idea. As it stands, Kill's goals would already cut into that slightly.
