per Sean Merriman:

18. Phoenix Suns: PF Kris Humphries**
Big Ten School: Minnesota
Current NBA Team: Free Agent
Age: 29
Career Stats: 6.8 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 0.6 BLKPG
Why: Humphries was a star during his short stay at Minnesota, and for the most part, his game has translated well to the NBA. However, at 29 years of age, this seems like a good spot for this former Gopher star.

Go Gophers!!

BTN can say he was a star, but he wasn't a star. Not even close.

Doesn't efficiency, team record, assists, or defense come into account?

Team record? Not necessarily, depends on who is around him. Kevin Durant didn't lead Texas to a particularly memorable season for them as a team. Humphries may be one of those guys that to an extent gets maligned because he was on a bad team in college, but his production was outstanding and definitely "star" label worthy for a college season. To me, he had more of a star season than anybody the Gophers have had since 2000. I know I didn't pay as close attention as many here to him, but his overall numbers are hard to argue against.

His ******baggary has more to do with his maligned legacy than his stats or his team's performance.

Humphries was a mcdonalds all American in HS. Led the big ten in scoring and rebounding as a freshman. Was first team all big ten and drafted 14th overall in the first round. I would say he was a star player averaging 21 and 10. The team only won three games in the big ten that year so perhaps he wasn't the best team player but he Had major talent.
