BTN Conference Schedule Announced

However the BTN doesn't use it's alternative channels like ESPN does. Many 9pm starts are missed by the BTN. The Gophers this year by the way have two 9pm starts and one 8:30pm start.

They don't have the issue nearly as often. And there's always BTN2GO.

I know I get alternate channels for football, think I do for basketball but maybe I am wrong.

I think it depends on your level of service and carrier. When I was home and using Dish, I'd get alternate channels for both football and basketball on the B10 network. But out of town and watching on a cable provider, I would only get the main feed. (That was also at an extended stay hotel so that may be another variable.)

BTN doesn't use the alternate channels outside of football season. They only do it when they are actually broadcasting two games at the same time, not for temporary over-runs. They never broadcast 2 games at the same time for basketball.

Probably right and god help you if something goes wrong with the alternate channel. Last year I was supposed to get a Gopher football game on the alternate channel (the PVR listed it but somehow picked up the main feed from BTN). I spent half an hour on the phone with the help desk before they could even understand what I was complaining about. Never got the feed and pretty much ruined my Saturday. Much less stress when it is just not on- like both games so far this year.
