Bryce came into this game with just a handful of receptions in his career and he came up with two HUGE catches today, one for a TD and one for a monster first down where he used every bit of athleticism in his body to bring it in.

Hat's Off to Thee Bryce, way to rise to the occasion!

Go Gophers!!

He'll remember this for life. People will remember the 2nd catch for a long time too.

When Morgan threw the pass (the second one to Witham), I thought there's no way he makes that catch. And then he pulls it down. My eyes must have popped out of my head when that happened.

Witham had to escape the grasp of a DL on that play too and almost didn't make it. Great clutch play!

Awesome post. Team sports take everyone to be on board no matter the task. His contributions were huge today but likely that he worked his rear end off everyday in preparation.

Spectacular job. Witham came up big when it mattered the most. That's nerve and character. What a big man!

His clutch catch reminded me of Kyle Rudolph. I hope we continue to develop our TE's.

The one handed catch was unbelievable. When you factor in the situation and everything that play meant for the game it takes on a whole new level of magic. Always great when you see those unheralded players have a huge moment like that. You know those are the guys busting their butt in practice and doing the little things to help the team win even though they tend to go unnoticed most of the time.

Going into the game a lot of Gopher fans would not have been able to tell you who #85 was (I couldn't have), but that all changed today. He will be able to tell his grandkids about his Outback bowl performance someday.

Was perusing an SEC board and someone commented on how they couldn't believe that corn-fed TE jumped and made that catch.
Correction it reads - "....that corn-fed fat arse made that catch." Well that corn-fed TE had one helluva game as did those corn-fed offensive lineman as Panthadad2 points out.

So great to finally see those wrinkles in the offense.

What I'm most excited about in keeping the majority of our offense is that we'll likely be able to expand the playbook to bring out some varied looks, rather than reteach chunks of it to a bunch of new faces. Next season can't come soon enough.

Psh. Two passes for 12 yards. No impact whatsoever on the game.

Witham was the low key player of the game. If he doesn’t make that one-handed catch, this game could have EASILY been one we remember in a totally different light. That guy better have been on cloud 9 walking out of that stadium

I know the play gets a little lost in all of the huge plays made, but on 3rd and 10 at the 30 (with an inexperienced kicker), Mo ran for 10.2 yards. It was the next series after Witham's catch.

That was a huge play. I bring it up on this thread because Witham made that play. He was able to seal the corner for Mo to essentially end the game.

Bryce had to elevate a little bit. While reaching back, and to his right.

Knowing he would probably be playing more in this game, I looked him up a few days ago. He’s clearly an athletic kid. 247 had him down for a 4.7 40 which is pretty good at that size. He’ll be a 6th year Senior next year.
