Bruce Pearl takes shot at CUSA after crushing rival Memphis

Bruce Pearl took quite the shot at Memphis/CUSA after the Vols beat Memphis by 20 (they were up by 30 at one point if not more). Pearl said he told his team "not to get too excited about a win over a Conference USA team."

Could be an interesting conference with Central Florida in the rankings. Memphis' perch could be in jeopardy another year.

In my mind I have him worse than Calipari.

Conference USA

C-USA still sucks, but it is a little better this year. Memphis actually may be only the third- or fourth-best team in the league. In addition to UCF I'd expect Southern Miss and UTEP to give Memphis a run for the top spot. Even so, C-USA better hope (like last season) that its best team (in all probability UCF) doesn't earn the automatic bid so that it can get multiple bids to the NCAA Tournament.
