per Bob Sansevere:

BS: On the plus side, you must feel good that the regime that traded Richardson wanted you?

MG: Oh, yeah. I'm blessed. I'm taking one day at a time. Trying not to give them a reason to let me go.

BS: When you heard (Gophers coach) Jerry Kill had a seizure on the sideline (last Saturday against Western Illinois) did you flashback to when it happened before and you were with the team?

MG: I knew how the team felt and how the team was going to feel. I also know he always bounces back from that type of thing.

BS: How tough is it to get your mind back on the game when that happens?

MG: It will affect quite a few players, but you have to get back into the game. You have to realize coach Kill will be taken care of. You have to try to win the ballgame. When the game is over, then you can focus on coach Kill.

BS: Do you miss college life?

MG: Oh, yeah. We're in the real world now. Now I have bills. There's a lot more stuff to worry about like whether my locker will be full or cleaned out the next day.

Go Gophers!!

How can you not root for MG?! I sure hope he makes it work for him in the NFL!!

Shoot, with how hard the Browns are going into tank mode, what are the chances that MarQuies sees some wildcat snaps? It's not like Hoyer is going to be commanding field time anyway.

It's not just blatent tanking. They were not happy with Richarson as a teammate and decided moving him now for value was their best option. He wasn't in their longterm plans and they got a 1st rounder. Good move.

Good move? They traded a 3rd overall pick for what will likely be the 20th overall pick.

Yes good move. The 2nd overall pick is a sunk cost. The reality is they had an asset who was not worth their trouble and got the best value possible for him. They weren't going to re-sign him anyway. Good move.

Seeing him put on that Gopher cap during that all-star game was so sweet!

I wonder how he would've done if he chose Oregon? (Or if LaMichael James picked Minnesota)
