Brown Game

Although it was nice to have the team back in the barn and back on the winning track, the game today was a prime example of why we need to increase the talent of our non conerence schedule. Sure it was great to see the team score a lot of points and run Brown out of the gym, but it was also pretty boring. The barn had no energy, the game had no intesity, etc. I only have tickets (from a work season package) for one more game this year (MSU). Can't wait for that one.

Did the team press frequently today? If they did then the game is close to meaningless. The Gophers (last year) tended to get after it in the full court against non-conference teams which lead to easy baskets and lopsided scores. Against the Michigan State's and Purdue's of the world the press was nowhere to be found and the Gophers struggled to score in the half court (just like this year so far).

Oddly enough, this Brown team plays St. John's to a 3-point game. That St. John's team gave Duke all it wanted today. Brown looked terrible today.
