Agreed, I hadn't heard anything about that?
I can't fault him in the slightest, but the end of his career has been a major let down, due to injuries. Don't think he was given too much of a chance to do much this year? This was Rod's year. And I have no idea if that was because he was never really healthy and/or if he never regained his burst after the last injury?
He ran like his hair was on fire vs Indiana in 2018. That will unfortunately be our final memory of what he once was, I'm afraid ...

It has to be heartbreaking for Brooks. He played his heart out for the Gophers.
I think that not playing Fa'alele is for his own future. It's not worth risking serious injury when you are not fully healed.
On the bright side, there will be a few RS Freshmen and Freshmen who will get a chance to play and get a taste of football at its highest level. It will be a good experience as well as auditioning foe next year.

Well, one thing about this game is that if the Gophers win, there won't be any excuses that Auburn didn't have their full squad. I haven't heard about any Auburn players sitting this one out (like Martin), and the Gophers are the shorthanded squad. This game appears to offer them a significantly higher reward than risk.

Sucks for Brooks. For a guy that clearly loved to play and loved contact has to be a bitter pill. His highlight reel plays: carries ratio is up there. I had really thought the December downtime would have been good for him in terms of getting healthy- bummed we won’t get one more game out of him.
