Outstanding leader of young men. Young enough to connect with his players, old enough for them to respect him as their coach. Great record. Knows defense. Coached Brian Urlacher in college among others. Rough year this year, but without his starting QB. Every other year he wins 11 games. No strong ties to BYU.

Not sure of interest or pay (Two key points, I understand). But I believe his contract is over after the 2011 season.

I wanted him four years ago.

A Mormon guy coaching at BYU would be hard to pull away, especially with their pending ESPN contract and independent status.

I like his name... If he only spelled it with a K....

We're a football team, not a cult...just kidding, I'm sure he's a marvelous man.

Was going to respond with a similar comment.

His kids have great names also: Raeder-Steel, Breaker, and Cutter

especially since he has a freshman qb jake heaps that is suppose to be the next big byu qb

Love the name Raeder-Steel. I have no idea what it means, but it just sounds cool. And Breaker, I'm hoping that kid grows up to be a linebacker (assuming he's a boy that is, haha). And Cutter? Uhmmmmm, no. That just brings up some rather disturbing imagery.

A Mormon coach at BYU, that is a bond that the Minnesota job has no chance in breaking.

...Mormons creep me out. But having to talk to my family in Wisconsin is worse.
