ex Gopher WR broke his leg and is out for the year after logging 14 catches for 191 yards and 3 TD's this season for KSU. From what little I saw of him here, I really liked him as a player.
 

yup, he would have been a top 4 receiver on this team this year. Would have probably been the most polished in terms of running routes, blocking from the WR position. People forget that Mcknight is a very raw player still.
 

What exactly happened to Smith? Why'd he leave the Gophers & how was he able to play for us last year & play for KSU this year without having to sit out a Season?

I thought he was out last year due to a transfer after the 2008 season? Maybe I am wrong.

if I remember correctly, he wanted to go someplace that was within driving distance of his kid.

I could swear he made some catches last season but I could be thinking about 2008...
 


He did sit out last year. He transferred in the spring of 2009 and sat out the 2009 season.

My recollection is similar to Rosemountian's. He is a father and wanted to be closer to his son.
