Brian Bennett: I think it's very possible this year. I like the vibe coming out of Minneapolis this year. The Gophers sound pretty confident that they will make a major leap forward. Last year's team made a bowl game but really wasn't very good in the second half of the regular season, thanks mostly to injuries. The bowl game performance against Texas Tech was a revelation. I think Minnesota will definitely be a better team this year and will prove a tough out most weeks in the Big Ten, with the potential to pull off a few upsets. The problem is that the Legends Division is loaded, so it's going to be hard to move up too far.

Oh no. Don't do this to me. I'd much rather expect 5 wins and be surprised with 6+ at this point in my Gopher fandom.

Too many years I've heard "this is the year." I've learned to keep my expectations low with Gopher football which keeps my anxiety/stress level much lower making game day a much more enjoyable experience!

That being said, I kinda think this is the year. Ah sh@$!

We's still a young team.. I think Kill's 'patented' 3rd year success will be pushed back a year with this Gopher team (and a really, really tough B1G). I expect to see our team compete in every game this year (wins/losses won't be much different from last year) which would be a big improvement over last year.

Of course, this hinges on the team's ability to stay healthy (relatively).

The schedule looks better in 2013 than in 2014 and 2015. The time to make a move is NOW! Get a bowl bid and win a bowl game. That will prepare the team for the rigors of the 2014 and 2015 seasons. It will take 3 B1G wins to launch this move...and 4 would provide a much better lift off...

2013 will provide a glimpse into the future for Golden Gopher Football It is time to win some for the Seniors...
