I've seen many posters on here attack Brewster for the things he said when he was hired. While he's rippable for many, many things, I don't see why people are so up in arms about this. His goal was taking the team to the Rose Bowl. How is that out of line? If Coach A. or B. comes in here after the season (or sooner) will you be happy if his opening presser includes him promising to finish in the middle of the Big Ten? The goal of every team at the beginning of the season should be to become champions.

He should be held accountable for this. There is no indication what so ever that this program is even remotely headed in this direction, NONE!!!!!!!!!! When Brew comes in saying these things, which I have no problem with, then you better back it up with action and he isn't doing it!

LOL, Well I guess if you were a manufacturer of goods and you told your client that they were in excellent condition and they ended up being faulty, you have committed fraud and are in breach of contract. So Brewster is in breach of contract to gopher nation and we are suing him for punitive damages. :D

That's not the issue at all. It's the way he says those things. Of course you want a coach to come in and say that his ultimate goal is to win a Rose Bowl. If you honestly don't see the difference in the way he puts his message across to the media/fans vs. the way a more mild mannered, calculated coach speaks, then I think you've been blinded by the Brew Kool-aid.

O.K. just stop posting here.

Are you fvcking kidding me? The way he said it? Holtz came to my school with more pulpit banging BS than Brew could ever come up with, and I hate him one hell of a lot more than Brewster. Some coaches are rah rah, high energy types, and some are sticks in the mud.

For me, it's not these kind of statements that bug me. It's the constant buzzwords like "great" and "tremendous" along with the cliched lines of "fighting their guts out" or "light years ahead of where we were" talk after each and every loss. This afternoon, even Brewster couldn't muster such ridiculous words regarding his team. But for three years before this, those are the only things we heard after each and every horrid performance. Therefore, it comes off as dishonest and a complete spin job. Can't comment for anybody else, but this is where Brewster completely lost me.

I'm no physisist....

but I can't help but think that in the context of time and space and how this relates to light years maybe Brew is caught in the vortex of time travel and he has taken us with him... is it possible the break the barrier of time travel in light years and actually go back in time? what was that comet all those folks got on (Hale something??) -

I think I will sue him personally.
