Showed the replay on Big Ten Network after the game. You could read Brewster's lips perfectly:

"Going for two up 25 in the fourth quarter is horse-shi*"

Then Bielema tried to say something and Brewster pulled away, saying, "Mother-fu**ing a**hole."

Sure, Bielema is a jerk for doing it. But that's only because he pussed out and said it was because of the card. I'd love it if I was a Wisconsin fan and he did it and said he was trying to run it up.

But should Brewster really be concerned about that in the post-game handshake? He's an even bigger turd than Bielema. Shut up and go waste another time-out or something.

bb is a tool. a classles tool. we know this. he is like the soldier who, after winning the battle, burns the village too. the bigger question is why he even bothers with even recognizing or acknowledging brew as the irrelevant coach of an irrrelevant program is beyond me

BB is chickened out, blaming it on "the card". Have the guts to admit you are running it up. Brew has nothing to lose in calling him out and I don't blame him for doing it.

It was a D-bag move by BB, but Brew has a lot more problems he needs to worry about, most notably going out and increasing the talent level in recruiting.

most notably going out and increasing the talent level in recruiting.

There is no recruiting as an NFL TE's coach. There is only a draft and they probably will not let him in the war room.

Well, that won't happen as even Indiana is outrecruiting Brewster this year (they have two four-star guys to our zilch) and Indiana never recruits well.

there is recruiting though when you are the recruiting coordinator at Texas and responsible for bringing Vince Young there ...

Poor sportsmanship

I didn't really appreciate Brew's reaction at the postgame handshake, could have taken the high road instead of taking Bielema's bait. Playing the "coaching card" is BS at that point, even with kicking a PAT would require 3 TDs including 2 2 pt conversions and a FG in 6 minutes just to tie. Either Bielema just doesn't think, or he's just trying to turn the screws. I don't think much of his personality, at least what he portrays to the media.

Catechol, I don't disagree. Brewster's always on the histrionic side. But that was simply bush-league on Bielema's part. Simply bush-league.

Mac Brown and the success of the Texas program are why Vince Young went to Texas, not because of fast talking Brew. The administration royally screwed up by hiring a recruiting coordinator to be CEO of the program.

It's not out of the question to make up an 18 point deficit in 6:30 (2 TDs w/ 1 2 pt conversion and a FG), especially since the Gophers have some big play potential with those WRs. So playing the "coaching card" isn't total BS, though I think he went for 2 in part to turn the screws a bit more on Brew. I don't really think too much of Bielema, personality-wise.

It is out of the question to make up an 18 point deficit with 6:30 when you are kicking off and not doing onside kicks

they scored every single time they touched the ball the second half......we have to get the ball back 3 times and don't even on-side it.......GEEZEZ

I'm glad that Brewster called him on that, as that was about a BS call by Bulimia. It was totally pointless and unnecessary, pretty much being an ass just to be an ass.

It's understandable that Brewster is feeling the pressure and how that might make him more liable to losing his cool, but I'm glad he said something there.

As a Badger fan, I thought it was pretty childish. They have been exchanging words and barbs since Brewster took the job, and Bielema obviously saw this as his chance to get the last word, as no one expects Brewster to be back next year. Most of our fans thought it was a bad idea.

Exactly. If Brewster had gotten VY to go to Akron, then he might be worth a look. Any clown could get a kid from Houston to go to UT.

I agree 100%, I'm just saying Brew had experience recruiting. That's about it though.

You are one Badger fan I can respect.

This makes you the only Badger fan I respect.;)

Brewster said what I felt...and I'm glad he said it.

I hope one day we have the chance to do that to Wisc and BB...and don't and then throw a barb in the handshake and post game presser. Dude makes it really easy to hate Wisc even more! Didn't know that was possible.

Brewster does have bigger problems on the team than this...but I liked it in a day that was forgettable...again.

+1

Texas doesn't recruit. They select who they want from Texas. Have heard Mac Brown say this on more than one occasion.

BB is a *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# nugget, we all know this.

But Brew being pissed at him about it is kinda redundant. If you don't want to get the score run up on you, then WIN THE *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#ING GAME.

That is all.

The Tim Brewster - Vince Young Myth

Let's just put it this way.....Vince Young would not have even said hello to Tim Brewster as the head coach at Minnesota. Texas, yes. Minnesota, no.
