The more I listen to Brewster, the more I think he's the right guy for the job. He's not making excuses like Mason did, he's looking for solutions and staying positive about it.
He noted the OL will be more "veteran" moving forward, but named Michel and Olson as great players. I know many people have commented that they don't expect them to play, but as some have noted -- these guys showed in practice that they were good enough to start last year, but were red-shirted instead.
On the defensive side he pointed out Hageman, Kirksey, Edwards, KGM (which could very likely be our starting line), as well as Rallis, Carter, and Watkins. All players with great talent.
One thing he noted was that we don't have a 'QB competition' but rather an entire 'team competition at every position'. He said all the top programs have such depth that you're competing for your job every week, and the Gophers are now in that same position (or will be considering the new class filled the 'holes' well).
I've never been to a spring game before, but I'm actually wanting to go this year.
