A while back Arkansas stopped paying Bert his buyout ...

Word has it he was getting paid 50k a year at New England to coach their Defensive Line... a job that usually pays several hundred thousand a year ... to millions.

Normally buyouts like Bert's say that if he makes money elsewhere then Arkansas pays that amount less of the buyout. Seems like they were gaming the system to keep Arkansas to foot the bill...

He is with the Giants now and I'm not sure what he's paid.

Well, they went whole hog on him. In the attempt to save money, it may cost both sides a ton of money in a legal battle. There won't be any winners.

If they decide Bert should have been paid a $1mil or something... (and he's still working...) the school could save a ton.

Let alone the message of "don't pull this on us in the future".

Burt owes Arkansas for his lack of coaching when he was there.

What can the charge butt belemic for running the football program into the ground.

Poor BB, he rose above his station.
As long as he had the Emperor to keep him in line he was ok.
AK was too desperate for some success and did not do due diligence.
I really do not care about the outcome.
NE is the place that hosed themselves with the Pelini buy out.

Only winners during this pissing match are the evil lawyers
