I'm assuming trying to get into Al's around 9:00 AM is going to a huge wait. Are there other options in the Dinkytown area? Seems like Stadium Village may offer more options. I'm looking for a place that has a good old fashioned breakfast (crispy hashbowns, eggs, bacon, etc..i.e Al's style).

thanks!

The Egg & I Restaurant near 280 and University is pretty good. I went there once last year rather than tailgate before a game and saw a decent number of Gopher fans.

If you go towards St. Paul on University (just across 280) you can hit up Keys Cafe. The best breakfast in town, I promise. Huge portions, FAST service, and great food. Although I'm not sure how busy it'll be on game day.. We never bothered hitting it up on Gopher gameday..

Great, thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping to be able to park and then get food around the stadium, but you're right Keys is solid!

Not really a sit down thing, but last year Sally's made a mean breakfast sandwich underneath their big tent outside, that was a pretty good portion for about 5 bucks, I think. Hopefully, they will be making those again. I think I will require one tomorrow.

Yeah...but Al's is friggin' Al's! It's worth the wait. I love that place.

>Want Al's
>Dont want to wait

What are you smoking.

Well, if it's a 15 minute wait, no problem, but if it's 45 minutes, I'd pass. I really have no idea how long the wait would be.

Mannings on Como is very good for breakfast, and you can not beat the onion rings there after the game.

By the by, Key's is on Raymond just north of University for those who are interested. Not that it will do much good now.

We've been making a breakfast pizza at Campus Pizza on mornings when kickoff is 11am. Not quite your traditional breakfast but our fans love it!
