He probably doesn't have the high end upside that Maxx had but Lingen is turning into a solid receiving option out of the TE position.

Do you even bother to read the whole comment or just look for the part that fits your mission of being a jerk and run with it? Saying Lingen doesn't have the same upside as Maxx is not a shot at him in any way shape or form. Maxx was an elite talent at the TE position and those guys don't come around very often. Had you bothered to keep reading you would notice I did go on to say that Lingen is turning into a solid receiving option for us, sorry if that isn't optimistic enough for you but it certainly isn't pessimistic. Crazy idea but if the only purpose of your post it to attack another user you could just keep your comment to yourself.

He is either easily the most improved player from the 2014 recruiting class since HS or was one of the most under utilized TE's in the country at Wayzata. There was zero reason to think he'd ever be more than a Goodger or Plesk in the passing game going into this year. His longest catch in HS was only about 15 yards give or take and almost all of them were when he was wide open in the flats on a QB roll out. Was an absolute mauler in the run game but Elmore and Gibson showed far superior receiving skills and were much more dynamic. Very pleasantly surprised he is this big of a contributor in the passing game.

You missed the point of the thread! I just found that amusing. I also wasn't the only one who noticed that. You may want to go back and read a couple other of the posts that made reference to that.

C'mon, mnvcguy, can't you see your negativity? If we took all your posts and removed the name, would you be able to objectively see negativity? Mitch is No. 1 in B1G passing yards the last 2 weeks, but he'll have a let down this week and he'll never be drafted, and certainly is no Tom Brady...

Pretty sure you and the other positivity police in here aren't really qualified to make any judgments on someones objectivity since you have no idea what it means. I stand behind my take on Lingen not being negative and it certainly doesn't deserve the scrutiny you and Killjoy feel it does.

If you want to discuss it privately I more then happy to but I won't waste any more board space trying to defend myself against your personal vendetta against me and any comments I make just because I don't see eye to eye with your view of things.

The difference between him and Maxx was beautifully illustrated during the Neb. game. They ran that throw back play that failed on the goal line last weekend. Lingen was wide open with a clear path to the endzone. He looked like he was running in a pair of Sorels and was easily caught for a modest gain. The Nebraska fan behind me commented on "how slow their TE is." That would have been an almost certain TD for Maxx. Lingen is just not as good an athlete as Maxx. Duke A has or perhaps had that ability, but can't get on the field because of injuries.

Not trying to police your views and have no vendetta. I just found it odd that you're in denial about it in the exchange with Killjoy, and wondered why you don't just embrace it like so many others on here that relish their jaded views. As for not wasting board space...lmbo! Let's all pitch in and send the unused space to the homeless.
