Bracketology Update

San Antone

Let's keep the Gophers in the San Antonio regional (Southwest), that's all I can say.

I think a 6 seed is realistic but I don't understand why people are so high on Purdue and Illinois. I think the gophers will finish ahead of those 2.

Most Purdue fans aren't high at all Purdue nor is much of the national media. I've sold all my stocks of Purdue about the Richmond game, on the other hand I'm buying Illinois. If McCamey figures out that he doesn't have to force anything I wouldn't be surprised at all if they win the B10.

I know it's completely insane but I'm thinking about loading up on Wisconsin stock, to borrow a phrase.

I'm not sure how things work in scheduling but they seem to have bought a bit of a break this year, to me at least. I don't think they'll win the Big Ten but they have to factor in somewhere.

I don't see how they can play with the gophers down low. Their bigs are soft. They will hit some jump shots, but they aren't going want to play with Trevor, Iverson and Mo under the basket.

Our biggest problem is turnovers and stupid passes. Cut down on those and you will see an increase of production.

I think we finish ahead of Purdue. Top two spots belong to tOSU/Illinois, probably in that order. We're somewhere in the next 3 spots.

They don't need to play down low if Tisdale and Davis are hitting 20-footers. Those guys are a matchup nightmare for guys like Sampson and Walker. Plus, McCamey is better than anyone we have on our roster. If we finish higher than Illinois in the BT, color me shocked beyond belief.

They need to play defense. Our four quality big men should have them both in foul trouble early. Get them the ball down low and take it strong to the basket. We have more depth at the post than any other big ten team. Make sure they have to play on both ends of the court.

What happened to East, south east, west, and midwest?

They haven't officially done geographic regions for a while now. Each region is just known by its host. I assume the labels Lunardi uses on this are are his own. I also noticed he had 3 1st-round pods in Washington and only 1 in Tulsa.

I'm buying Wisconsin too. Simply because of Bo Ryan. Holding on Minnesota and Michigan State. If O$U had any other coach besides Thad Matta I would be buying them like crazy.

Fortunately we (Boilers) played better since then. Hart is injured now. Depth shrinking to 7 or 8 who can play B10 caliber.
