Looks like McNeal got his QB he wanted. Taijah Boyd committed to Clemson yesterday over Ohio State. McNeal mentioned in the GH interview he was going to try and convince him to come there. He is rated as the #5 QB in the country.

Tajh Boyd is a stud. He looks a lot like Gray and he was my favorite QB in this class. Neither Gray nor Boyd have the running capabilities of Pryor or Shepard in their respective class but both of them are much better throwing QB's. I'll take a pass first QB that can run over a guy that is a greater threat with his feet any day.

it'll be interesting to follow boyd's career...
there are some character questions...not only his, but his father's, too...
lane kiffen told him to look elsewhere for a reason...and that reason is unrelated to 'fit' into tennessee's new offense...
boyd committed to no fewer than 5 different schools (wvu, tennessee, ohio state, oregon, and clemson)...3 of which were in the past few days...he left a trail of shocked, yet relieved, suitors:eek:

Bryce McNeal effect - Tajh Boyd

From GL's interview with McNeal when he commited to Clemson:

GH: Who are you personally trying to recruit right now?

BM: Tajh Boyd, hands down, the quarterback from Virginia.

At that time Boyd was barely even on Clemson's radar (at least according to the recruiting sites), but lo and behold, a couple days ago Boyd commited to Clemson. Wonder how much McNeal had to do with that.

Not really concerned about it one way or another to be honest. I like who the Gophers have for QBs. Nothing to sneeze at, IMO!
