We’re going because we love Gopher football and this team is fun to watch—and we have family in Charlotte. It’s a shame, though. We had local headline grabbing wins over USC; UCLA; & Wisconsin but could not win the eight games necessary for a more desirable bowl game. Thus, the seriously interested but not deeply invested fan will spend their discretionary income in other places. Our habit of losing a game a year to an inferior opponent has been an obstacle to our upward ascent—which includes the post-season.
