Does anyone know how quickly the bowl games will all get sorted out after the games today? I'm hoping to know where the Gophers are going before I leave for Mexico on Tuesday.
 






Purdue has a 5:00pm press conference tomorrow so by the process of elimination the Gophers will know there destination.
 

Not that it matters since we'll know in a few hours, but here are the final projections from an assortment of websites:

ESPN (Mark Schlabach): Heart of Dallas vs. ISU
ESPN (Brad Edwards): Heart of Dallas vs. ISU
Star Tribune: Meineke vs. Baylor
Off Tackle Empire: Meineke vs. West Virginia
CBS Sportsline: Meineke vs. Baylor
Phil Steele: Meineke vs. Baylor
SI (Stuart Mandel): Meineke vs. Texas Tech
College Sports Madness: Meineke vs. TCU

Personally, I'm glad to see so many projections of the Meineke Bowl. It's a better game vs. a better team on a better network at a better time with a better payout. Win or lose, it will just be a better thing for our program. I honestly think we'll see an improved effort out of our Gophers in the bowl game given the added practice time (especially for Nelson and the rest of the offense) and the bevy of injured players who are likely to heal up. Can't wait!!!

I think Baylor could be a disaster for us. Iowa State or West Virginia are probably the most winable.

I heard/read yesterday that this bowl includes another $300k for expenses. Good for the band = more fun for fans traveling to the game.
 



I hope a good abount of fans travel for the bowl, thats what has had us getting jumped over in the past.

I don't think its all that important for this team where they go but the matchup is very important. Going to play teams like Baylor and West Virginia scare the heck out of me. Going to a low level bowl game and getting drilled by a high scoring team would not be a good thing. Give me a game with TCU or ISU any day of the week. Winning a low level bowl game is the key to me not who we play.
