I think the gophs got a pretty good steal getting Botticielli to walk on. I'm sure you guys will savage me for saying this, but the Badgers recruit a LOT of D-ends, and some very talented ones, so I think playing time might have been difficult to come by.

From all accounts that I've ever read about C. Botticielli it sounds like he is a very solid player. With the amount of @#$ching done on the hole about Ben Perry's commitment, Gopher fans should be very pleased they landed C.B.

Good luck to him at the U.

I have seen him play several times and he is very good. He makes a couple of those "wow where did he come from plays" a game. I actually wanted him to get the the Gray-shirt over his team mate Marcus Trotter. The reason he wasnt as highly recruited is because is some what of a tweener. He has the perfect DE mentality and skills, but is undersized as of right now. Like mentioned above, easier path to playing time is the likely reason he ultimately choose UM over attending UW.

In the state playoffs, there were 3 D1 DEs playing(Jake Irwin{UW}, Mike Hardy{Iowa, most likely an OL in college, and Cameron). Behind Irwin, Cameron was the most impressive player in those games. In fact, Irwin and Cameron were the most in impressive players period.
