Bo's staff takes a hit as Howard Moore to coach UIC

Tracy Webster?

I'll predict Bo will hire one of these two to fill the vacancy on his staff (in this order):

1. Tracy Webster: former Badger now at Nebraska on Doc Stadler's staff.

2. Bump his son Matt from video coordinator to the coaching staff.

I would be very, very surprised at #2, as Matt has no coaching experience. I don't think Will Ryan (at NDSU) would be considered either. Hate to say it this way, but Bo needs to add an African American to the staff. It probably also needs to be someone with connections to the Chicago-area, as that is certainly a location that UW spends a lot of time recruiting. Coach Moore also worked with UW's bigs, so that may be something they look for in a candidate. Webster is a possibility, but that could be tricky given his recent hiring by Nebraska. Former Badger Freddie Owens could be a candidate, as he has been an assistant for a few years out west somewhere (Wyoming, maybe?).

Best of luck to Coach Moore. He struggled a bit in recruiting early on, but he seemed to get some momentum going recently. He has always been a first class guy as well.
 


Good point about Bo's current staff. Odds are the hire will be a minority. Webster would certainly be a great addition.
