per ESPN:

Louisville used the No. 7 ranking it received from the College Football Playoff committee earlier this week as extra motivation Saturday against Boston College and piled up the points in a 52-7 win as a way to make a statement.

Coach Bobby Petrino isn't happy with the idea that his team must blow out its final three opponents to make a better impression on the committee.

"I guess we do," Petrino said. "It's sad because there's something called sportsmanship, but maybe I made a mistake. Maybe looking back at it, in Florida State [a 63-20 win Sept. 17], we should have kept all the starters in and scored 80 points and did that. But I don't understand why it's like that. I really don't. And then you look at Clemson and the schedule they beat, the guys in the top 10 that they beat, and what Alabama has done, why isn't Clemson rated No. 1 [in the CFP]?"

Let's see, Clemson, Michigan and Alabama are all undefeated. That's why Louisville in the crappy ACC isn't in the top 4. Hey, look at that, so is Washington. Too bad "screw anything that moves" Petrino...

I'm really hoping Louisville sneaks their way into the playoffs somehow. That kid Jackson is just too much fun to watch. They'll probably move 1 step closer after today.

Clemson has a better win the Alabama but Bama has won 6 games against teams with 3 or fewer losses.

At this point a road win at Ole Miss is Bama's second least quality win. At this point that same Ole Miss win if it were on Clemson's resume would be their second best win.

"It's sad because there's something called sportsmanship, but maybe I made a mistake."

It's sad because there's something called fidelity. I guess you like the high road only when it suits you.

What a dooshnugget.

And respect for your players. Which he didn't have when he left in the middle of the night from the Atlanta Falcons.

What he's saying isn't really true in my opinion anyways. I don't think scoring 80 would have changed anything. They win out they will be right there.
