If Sansavere hates this hire it must be good. Welcome aboard coach Kill.
 

A columnist using "LMAO" is an indicator of just how far the newspapers have fallen. I don't like the hire, but this dullard saying that "hiring Trestman would excite the fanbase" has me "LMAO".
 

Not suprisingly Sansavere doesn't get it either. He too took Maturi's bait, hook line and sinker. Big name football coaches do not come to Minnesota not matter what Maturi babbled. Two reasons. The UM will not spend the money and the bigs go to places where it is much, much easier to win.
 

I have always been amazed that while newspapers have been slashing staff left and right that somehow Sansevere has been able to maintain employment.
 


Sansevere hasn't be relevant in the Twin Cities sports media for a long time. I have no interest in reading anything he writes about.
 

Bob Sansevere is about as qualified to speak about this hire as a monkey in a diaper is as qualified to drive an automobile.
 

I'll reserve judgment on the quality of our hire once I see who Miami hires. Cause right now, ours definitely don't look so bad when you look around right now. It seemed I was hearing Colorado was supposed to be a better job than Minnesota, and yet, it's not like they exactly "killed" it with their hire. The hype was extra strong, yes, but don't let the hype cloud your judgment of reality.

In line with earlier comments, we've been shown for many years that the local sports writers are incapable of accurately evaluating any type of talent--coaching or athletic. They try to cover it up with cynicism. It's a good sign they've come down hard on the new hire.
