Bob Huggins drunk at coaching clinic

I always thought he would be a fun guy to sit and have a couple beers with but paying for a Nike Coaching clinic and then listening to a drunk Huggy Bear wouldn't be as much fun.

I've always liked Bob Huggins. I will never forget 1998 when we played Cincinnati at the barn and we lost in overtime. I believe they were top 5 and we were also in the top 25. It was 2 years after my family moved to MN and it's the game that has hooked me to Gophers Basketball ever since.

I've always had a soft spot for Huggy Bear. He's a very intelligent man who unfortunately sometimes can't get out of his own way.

Huggins had Clem's number, that's for sure - Gophers never beat one of his teams during the Haskins era. In that '98 game, we had 'em dead to rights, and then Kevin Clark did something that I still can't believe. With time running down and Cincinnati desperate, he was dribbling wildly down the court with no plan and ran into a Cincinnati player, but first he passed the ball an instant before the charge! So instead of a player control foul and merely possession, the Bearcats got a couple of free throws, and that was the key to them being able to tie it up in regulation.

I have to admit the first time I saw this thread I was expecting a youtube video of a Huggins dunk.

Oh well.

Any school that has ever hired Huggy immediately gets crossed off the list of schools I would even consider letting my children attend. It is clear that when you hire Huggy (or Steve Superior among others) you are clearly sending a message that winning if more important than education at your school.
