This was a huge win for the Gophers coming off an emotional victory at Michigan. They needed to show that they could build on that win and create some momentum for the program. They should be favored in their next two games too -- Purdue and Illinois.
The Gophers won't be happy with some of the defensive breakdowns but they won and that's the most important thing. In the past, they might have let a long scoring drive and blown lead snowball into a loss. This team showed some resiliency Saturday.
