Watching Blake throughout his Gopher years, his play reminds me Wally Szczerbiak. Wally played with the Minnesota Timberwolves much of his career.

1. The quick release
2. The 3-ball accuracy
3. Similar height and weight

Your thoughts?

I think Wally was about 3 inches taller than Blake but I agree with the rest of your points.

Wally is quite a bit bigger than Blake. 6'7'' 240 vs. 6'4'' 200.

If anyone has stood next to blake he doesn't look over 6'2"

Not a close comparison. Besides the height difference - which is critical NBA-wise - Wally was a guy that could actually slash with effectiveness at the NBA level, dunk, and finish in the open floor. Blake can't even do that now, let alone at the next level. Hoff is a better shooter, however.

A better comparison IMO would be Steve Kerr.

They are both white and good shooters. Wally was a great, great college star that could do anything on offense. Better than any gopher in the past 10 years, by far. Blake, IMO, is a good player and great shooter.

Agree with the Steve Kerr...

I'd agree w/ you guys. Hoff would HAVE to be a one dimensional set shooter in the pros to have any chance of lasting. Wally probably had a little more all around talent w/ different ways to score. But don't get me wrong, I love what Hoff has done for us in his four years, always be one of my favorites.

Yes, just like Westbrook reminds me a lot Ron Artest. Thats right, they are the same color, and shot a three on occasion, or any white player reminds me of Larry Bird!

Not only is Wally bigger he is much more athletic. But I agree they are both great shooters.

The best Gopher comparison to Wally in my opinion would be Sam Jacobson.

Hoffarber actually knows what he is doing on defense, that is something no one can ever say about Szczerbiak.

The rest of the comments were at least interesting. Your's are bizarre-world.

Thanks for coming...

True, never found Wally to be much on defense. Not particularly fleet a foot as some would suggest. Think Blake could be better with assists than Wally, 2.4 assists for 30 minutes average.

Hadn't thought of Kerr but yea.

Wally in college could shoot, post up people and take people off the dribble. Wally is closer to Trevor's size then Hoffarber's.
