Can't believe nobody has started a thread about Cashman's play today. Maybe we have gotten so used to him playing well that we aren't surprised that he was everywhere today. 20 tackles, 8 solo, 1 sack, 2.5 TFL, and 1 Pass Breakup for good measure. Will be shocked if he does not win Defensive Player of the Week for the Big Ten.

Today's performance gives him 101 tackles on the season which is good for a second place tie in the conference. Truly impressive that he has worked his way up from walk on to being one of the best LBs in the Big Ten. Will be surprised if he isn't voted onto the all-conference team at the end of the season.

He will be missed next year.

Quality, loyal player. I will miss watching him next year.

Favorite all time Defensive player for the Gophers in my 35 years of watching.

101 tackles? Imagine what he could do if he didn’t suck....

Agree he’ll be missed.

I would put Karon Riley and Tyrone Carter ahead of him on my all-time list of the guys I have seen first hand (didn't get to watch guys like Bell and Eller) but he would definitely be up there near the top.

Incredible player, heck of a story.

One of my all time favorites, the program needs more like him.

Riley, Carter, Van de Steeg, those great DBs under Kill/Claeys...we have seen seen some good ones. Cashman is as entertaining to watch as any of them

Best player on the team the last two seasons.

I wish we had a true defensive end which would allow Coughlin to be back there with him. Those two guys can ball. Great instincts.

Very good player. I wonder if he gets a combine invite. Curious to see how he'd perform in the straight physical tests (bench, 40, etc.). He's off the charts on the football instincts half of the page.

Class act on / off the field and I would love to watch him in purple!

Great career, a real model on and off the field.

Cashman will catch on with some NFL team as a special teams ace at the least. That will give him a chance to move up the ladder.
