To what extent did either movement/organization/party strictly believe in the tenets of socialism? As opposed to whatever the political/power structure was in Italy and Germany post-WWI. I'm guessing, both were far more concerned with gaining power via warfare than how to make the world a better place.
Adding on...Just about every political party/organization has used it in some way to try to further their movement.

Is the "it" in your quote there referring to socialism, fascism, warfare, or something else?

The term fascism .
Well, my post was pretty much explaining that fascism isn't really a thing to implement. At least, it doesn't seem to originally be a well-defined belief system. Maybe now, the word has been embedded with that by historians, political scientists, philosophers. That I don't know.

Fill in this blank for me, please. "The government of Minnesota acted like fascists, as opposed to communists, socialists, totalitarians, dictators, authoritarians, monarchs, or a democracy, because they _______".

I don't think they did, so I can't help you.

Saying it doesn't make it true, Comrade. You'd have learned if you'd gone to Camp as directed.
It’s a Marxist org. Splitting hairs to argue they aren’t communists.

Here it is:
BLM co-founder describes herself as 'trained Marxist' (nypost.com)

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report.
I've seen that before. But has the organization ever said its a Marxist organization? Is it in their mission statement? Has this founder or anyone else given a speech at a BLM rally and said so? Has anyone?
