Comparing where we were, interesting comparisons, and upcoming opponents.

Minnie, #36 (6-2)
Indiana, #77 (4-3) No defense!
Penn St, #37 (4-3) Living on a reputation.
Whiskey, #33 (6-2) Having beat nobody of consequence, overrated, despite what I said in the pertinent thread.
MSU, #27 (7-1) Seems low for a B!G school with a great record. No love to the conference.
Houston, #38 (6-1) Coached by one of our very own Gophers!
Texas Tech, #14 (7-1), lost to #8 Oklahoma and didn't move at all in the standings. Computer man-crush!?!?
North Carolina State, #69 (3-4), lost big to Florida St and again the computer man-crush with no movement!?!?!?
TCU, #59 (3-5), lost big to Texas and dropped 8 spots. Computer man-crush on Texas?????

Week 9 wrapped up.

Ski U Mah!!!

MSU...awesome defense but TERRIBLE offense (in spite of having done well against Illinois). How can you give any team love for beating Purdue 14-0 with one of those TD's coming from the D.

If we score 17 (a big IF) against MSU...we win!!!

Not sure I'd call MSU's offense terrible. It's improved significantly even with the stinker vs. Purdue. Sparty is averaging 31 ppg in Big Ten games. Most days that's gonna' be enough points for their defense. I'd call their offense efficient, which for the most part it has been since conference play started.

B1G Points Per Game (conference games only)
1. Michigan (48.3)
2. Ohio State (42)
3. Indiana (39.6)
4. Wisconsin (39)
5. Nebraska (35.3)
6. Michigan State (31)
7. Penn State (26)
8. Iowa (19.5)
9. Minnesota (18.5)
10. Illinois (18)
11. Northwestern (15.7)
12. Purdue (5.6)

We're screwed!

41 Minnesota 5 2 Then # 54 Beat Then # 36 Northwestern 20 17 244.688 44

36 Minnesota 6 2 Then # 41 Beat Then # 36 Nebraska 34 23 252.707 40

After two weeks of beating #36 ranked teams, where do we find ourselves...

The same place as we were before Iowa:
55 Minnesota 4 1 Then # 36 Lost To Then # 71 Iowa 7 23 232.439 78

I know that this was to compare offenses, but I think it would be more interesting to see margin of win+/loss- to view as total.

Indiana and Mich thought basketball was in season a couple of weeks ago.
