Posting this as a conversation topic. For me, regardless of betting lines, it was Iowa 2010. I flat out did not see it coming and I can at least imagine an unlikely victory next Sat.

I think Ohio State this year because they are #8 in the country and possibly making a run for the 4 team playoff.

Iowa, 2010. That Gophers team was in a tailspin, led by an intern coach. I didn't think we had a shot to win that game. I have higher hopes for the OSU game.

Iowa 2010...if Gophs win this weekend it will be an upset, but not one of the proportions of 2010. That team had little to play for, this team has everything to play for.

Iowa 2010. I remember there being some crazy 20+ point spread

Obviously 2014 OSU is a better team than Iowa 2010. That said, the Gophers have come a long ways since then. We were flat out terrible at that point in time and right now we are at least above average. I think that means Iowa was the bigger upset.

I would say the 2011 Iowa game was the big upset.

The 2010 game was coming off the Illinois victory so the Gophers had some confidence.

The 2011 Gopher team had just got beat by NDSU (37-24), Michigan (58-0), and Purdue (41-14). Not only blow-outs, but physical beat downs! They were the type of blow-outs that you worry about endangering player's health (Jimmy Gjere went down during this period.)

If the Gophers do in fact lose to Ohio State, I don't think it will be because they physically beat the Gophers up like those 2011 opponents did. They'll simply run around us (which doesn't hurt as bad!)

IF we win, against OSU will be the second biggest upset in my lifetime, number one being 1999 at Penn St.
This game is absolutely huge, and will be THE signature win under the Kill era to date.

The Iowa game was a nice story to close out a ****ty season but this has the potential for greater implications and that is why its got my vote.

As stated, in 2010 we were coming off a road win @ Illinois. I think the 2011 Iowa game may have been a bigger upset.

2014 was way bigger if you consider it launched the Gophers on a stretch run that would put them in the playoff after 9-3 Georgia beat 9-3 Alabama and nobody emerged from the SEC.

Looking at how the Hawkeyes ended-up in 2010 (8-5, 4-4) and 2011 (7-6, 4-4) a win Saturday would be a much bigger upset. Unless, tOSU collapses the rest of the way.

The Iowa wins though felt REAL good didn't they?

I grew up in Dinkytown. My house was located on 16th, right where the Bierman football complex is now located. I watched homecoming bonfires and the band practice right across the street from my house. There were several big parking lots in that spot, and the Band would practice there and they would have the homecoming bonfires there back in the 60's. A win against Ohio St. would be terrific, but 2010 and 11 for that matter are special. I got to see a kid walk on to the program, not as a preferred walkon, but a true, no body knows my name, walk on, help win the games. That Kid would drive by TCF as it was being built and say, "I'm going to play there." This kid from North Mpls. believed in himself and loves his home state. He registered for school, called the athletic dept., and asked if he could try out for the team. A year later, that walk-on played a great game against Iowa in 2010. In 2011, he had a sack that caused a fumble. That play got us going, and we won. Never been prouder as I stood on the field and celebrated with my son, the player, whom I shall not mention, and the rest of the fans and players. No one thought we would win that game. That was special.

This is the equivalent to the Penn State game. There is no way that Iowa should enter into this type of equation.

Who HATES Iowa!

I hope Kyle is doing well. The kid had heart, played bigger than his stature.
