By passing again, they dominated the first half, but slacked off passing in the second half and had only three first downs until the final minutes. Some lessons there. Never go conservative on offense. The defense played its best game of the season, which is saying something as they have been good all year. This win makes a bowl much more accessible (and less accessible for Nebraska) plus it is the third straight win over Nebraska, which must discomfort the kindly Dr. Tom, who ran up 84 points on the 1983 Gophers. No doubt he was watching today.

20 of 24 for Tanner for 209 yards and 127 rushing for Williams, which was a slight surprise, but he did look to be the man at RB.

I agree with you that as a rule shouldn't go conservative, but that wind was blowing hard in the third quarter and definitely was the reason for the end zone interception. IMHO

Mmmmm.

Tell me, did you happen to notice the two consecutive interceptions?

RUTM, and our defense, deserve a lot of credit.

The Gophers had 22 first downs, and dominated the time of possession with 38:01.

FleckBall gets 'er done.
